Practical Effects Masters on the Pros and Cons of CGI

An interesting article discussing how make up artists (Who create stunning effects on characters) in this industry are still surviving although this development of computer generated imagery, which is now taking over. Surprisingly these artists aren’t really against CG. 

Joe Alves states that “CG can be absolutely perfect, and it’s in the discretion of the director not to over do it. There’s a convenience with CG, but I think it can be used very well. I’m not at all anti-CGI, because some practical FX are just damn difficult to do.”

This was quite an interesting article but I found it quite late in my study, thus I didn’t use it in my essay.
